Course/ Curriculum
The Bar Council of India in consultation with experts formulated tentative
outline of the courses in the preparatory stage & recommends them to the
universities imparting professional education of Law. The courses of institution
for institution for three years prescribed by R.D.V.V. in Law are as follows:
LL.B Part - I -
1. Law of Contract –
(Indian Contract Act 1872)
(Sale of Goods Act 1930)
(Specific Relief Act 1963)
2. Law of Torts & consumer protection Act.
3. Constitutional Law of India.
4. Law of Crimes –
(Dowry Prohibition Act 1961)
(Immoral Traffic Act 1988)
5. Evidence Act.
6. General Legal English.
7. M.P. Land Revenue Code 1959. (Land Laws)
8. Environmental Law of India.
Optional Subjects :- (Any One)
1. Indian legal and constitutional history
2. Equity, trust & other fiduciary, obligations.
3. Crimes against women & child & their protection.

1. Legal theory (Jurisprudence & comparative Law)
2. Law of property
3. Family Law-1 (Hindu Law – Muslim Law)
4. Criminal Law – II
1. Code of criminal procedure 1973.
2. Juvenile justice Act 1986.
3. Probation of offenders Act 1950.
5. Labour Laws.
1. Industrial dispute Act 1947.
2. Workmen Compensation Act 1923.
3. Trade Union Act 1925.
4. Factories Act 1948.

2. Negotiable instrument Act 1981.
7. Professional ethics, accountability for lawyers & bar bench relations.

It is compulsory for the candidate to appear in the viva voce examination in paper seventh.

3. Drafting, Pleading & Convincing.

4. Human rights & public international Law.
5. Moot court trial proceeding & practical training.
6. Company Law and partnership Act.
7. Arbitration an conciliation Act 1996. (1. Easement & Legal remedies)
8. Legislative drafting & interpretation of statutes.

3. Medical jurisprudence, forensic science handwriting & finger prints science.
4. Socio-Economic offences.
